A day on the piano

I use to play Piano all the way through primary and highschool, so it was befitting to have a photoshoot at the Piano Bar in Kings Cross, thought we never went anywhere near the actual piano itself  :p What was meant to be just a small group thing ended up turning into a massive event. Great opportunity to meet with some old friends and make some new ones.

Time to dance!!!!

It was finally time - after months and months of organizing and trying to get the whole squad together, it was time to shoot the entire crew of Dargie Entertainment.

It was a fun day, very relaxed (seems ot be the common factor in all of my shoots). We started the day with 2 studio posts - 1 inside and one outside. Needless to say my white backdrop turned black by t he end of the day :) hehe

here are some of the pics from the day :)

Great fun :)

Real Wedding - Elyssa & Matthew

HOW WE MET:

Met through Matthews eldest brother Chris. Him and I were best friends.

THE PROPOSAL:

Went to Mauritius in January 06 for a holiday and to celebrate Matthew´s grandfathers 80th birthday (Matthew was born in Mauritius). Matthew took me to a church overlooking the water and got down on one knee and proposed with a Tiffany & Co necklace as my ring was being made in Australia as he had designed it.

THE WEDDING DRESS:

My wedding dress was a beautiful 2 piece fairytale gown made to measure by Bella Bridal. It was made from silk and featured beautiful Swarovski crystal detailing on the front and back of the bodice. The skirt was very full.

ACCESSORIES:

I wore an Art Deco piece by Stephanie Brown on my hair. I had beautiful drop earrings with emerald cut crystals to match my head piece. Matthew and I exchanged gifts on the day through our bridal party, Matthew´s best man Chris gave him the Gucci dog tags I bought him. I had them engraved with our wedding date and the words "Yours Forever". Matthew gave me a Swarovski love heart to wear around my wrist instead of a horse shoe to represent his love for me which my head bridesmaid Shae gave me.

THE GROOMS ATTIRE:

Matthew wore a Van Heusen suit with a Van Heusen ivory coloured shirt and a black Dolce & Gabbana Tie.

THE BRIDESMAIDS:

Shae wore a beautiful simple black dress. The straps formed a cross at the back and had a beautiful Chiffon overlay.

THE THEME:

Our theme was Tiffany & Co with black.

FLOWERS:

My bouquet was made up of white calla lilies with crystals placed throughout the bouquet and Shae´s had a mix of white and yellow. The handles were wrapped in Tiffany coloured ribbon and had pearls down the front.

THE CEREMONY & RECEPTION DECOR:

The ceremony was outdoors in the botanical garden. We had a red carpet and beautiful white chairs. The reception was simple. Round tables with white tablecloths, white chair covers with black sashes. The tables had a mixture of aqua and black rose petals and a cream floral arrangement in the centre.

THE TRANSPORT:

We had 3 black BMW convertibles.

BOMBONIERE:

We had 2 types. First we had Tiffany & co coloured boxes wrapped in white ribbon with our name and wedding date written on the lid. In the inside we had imported M&M´s from America that had our names and wedding dates written on the M&M´s in the Tiffany colours. The second gift Stacks of "gift boxes" in white and blue display the classic tradition of incorporating something old.new.borrowed.and blue. The blue box at the base opens to reveal a little blue notepad.

THE WEDDING CAKE:

We had a beautiful Tiffany & Co themed cake. it looked like 3 Tiffany & Co boxes stacked on top of one another tied with a white bow! The cake was marbelled chocolate mud!

ENTERTAINMENT:

We had a DJ.

THE HONEYMOON:

Only 4 days away to the Gold Coast, didn´t want to stay away from our 11 month old daughter for too long!!!

SPECIAL MOMENTS:

Before Matthew and I said our vows to one another we said vows to our daughter Ava-Rhys and my mum brought her up to us and we presented her with a necklace from Swarovski.

TIPS:

Relax, take everything in on the day before you blink and it´s all over!!!

Merry Xmas :)

Happy Holidays everyone :)

Hope you all got spoilet by your loved ones :)

Our Xmas was very interesting, as Danny and I always try to outdoo each other in the gift department. More so for the fun of it not monitary value.

This year he pulled off a doozy ........

He placed a Mug of a Canon 70-200mm in a box for a real 70-200mm lense. I thought it very odd and quite confusing as to why he was giving me another mug exactly the same as the one that he had given me for my birthday..... needless to say he hid very very well the actual lense in a Chandon box...... triked me into believing it was champagne hahaha :) prefer the lense ::)

He took some pics of my reaction :)
